COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The building that houses Eastern Bay Chinese Restaurant in Upper Arlington is for sale.
The property at 2055 Riverside Dr. in northwest Columbus was listed earlier this spring. Cutler Real Estate lists the asking price at about $2.25 million for the 3,415-square-foot building, built in 1968, and its roughly one-acre lot.
The listing notes the property could be used as a restaurant or redeveloped. Eastern Bay Chinese Restaurant, which has served the area for more than 20 years, has not commented on the listing or responded to requests for comment.
The restaurant’s website says it has operated for more than two decades, but does not specify an opening year. Franklin County records show the property last sold for $297,000 in 1996, with transfers recorded at $0 in 2004 and 2017.
Eastern Bay serves Chinese, Thai and Korean dishes, including General Tso’s chicken, veggie dumplings, beef bulgogi, shrimp pad thai and yellow curry tofu.
According to its website, the restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
