The 2025 Circle City Classic®, now in its 41st year, continues its legacy as a premier celebration of Black excellence in sports, culture, and entertainment.
This fall, the gridiron will light up as two HBCU powerhouses—Morgan State University Bears and Miles College Golden Bears—go head-to-head in what promises to be a thrilling matchup.

Morgan State University enters as the designated home team, following a strong 2024 season that saw them finish third in the MEAC.

Their iconic band, the “Magnificent Marching Machine,” made history in 2024 as the first HBCU band to perform at the 80th D-Day commemoration in Normandy, France.

Miles College comes off a historic run, finishing 10-3, winning the SIAC title, and reaching the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs—their first-ever nationally ranked finish.

Head coach Chris Goode, a former Indianapolis Colts standout, leads the Golden Bears into familiar territory.

Their award-winning band, the “Purple Marching Machine,” will bring energy and precision to a must-see halftime show.
