Yes, it’s real. It’s the story of how Hooters was founded, based on the actual events. If you didn’t like, Barbie, maybe this will be a little better for you fellas.
It follows two friends from Iowa, named Ted and Lenny. Ted is trying to find a woman named Diane from a spring break commercial . . . so he convinces Lenny to take a road trip with him to Clearwater Beach, Florida.
Diane would later become the first Hooters Girl.
The movie is being described as a “hilarious buddy comedy”, an “inspiring biopic” and a “wild journey” based on a “crazy idea.”
The director says, quote, “It’s not at all what people will be expecting, and it’s mostly true!”
