Rush Announces 2026 Reunion Tour Honoring Neil Peart with Seven North American Stops

Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will reunite for a 2026 tour, marking 50 years together as a band and honoring the late drummer Neil Peart. The tour will stop in seven cities across North America for 12 dates. Drummer Anika Nilles will join Lee and Lifeson in place of Peart.

In a video posted to social media, Lee and Lifeson said they did not expect to tour as Rush again following Peart’s death. However, they began to reconsider after informal jam sessions in their studio.

“The more we played our old songs for fun, the more fun it became,” Lee said. “That’s put us in a situation where we have to announce that we made a decision to go back on tour.”

Each show will feature about 35 songs from Rush’s catalogue, with the set list rotating nightly. Every performance will include a tribute to Peart.

“Our music is special—it really is special,” Lifeson said. “Being away from it for a while and revisiting it, I realized how difficult it is to play but how rich it is in its music and lyrics and everything that it represented.”
