David Lee Roth has announced a summer 2025 tour following his first public performance in five years.
The former Van Halen singer is set to start the tour on July 31 in Hollywood, Florida, and will conclude with 12 newly announced dates on Sept. 14 in Napa, California. He had previously announced a show on Sept. 12 in Saratoga, California.
Roth made his return to the stage at the M3 Festival on Saturday night, performing 16 classic Van Halen songs with a newly expanded backing band. His band includes guitarist Al Estrada, bassist Ryan Wheeler, drummer Francis Valentino, a keyboard player, and a four-piece group of backing vocalists.
Before this performance, Roth’s last public live show was in March 2020, opening for Kiss. He announced his retirement in late 2021, shortly before a planned Las Vegas residency.
“We’ve reached the end of my first retirement,” Roth joked during the M3 show. “How many retirements did Rocky have, nine?”
Tickets for the newly announced David Lee Roth shows will be available for pre-sale on Tuesday, May 6 at 10 a.m. EDT via Ticketmaster.
