Guns N’ Roses 2025 World Tour Kicks Off with New Drummer and Classic Hits

Guns N’ Roses launched their 2025 world tour Thursday at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Incheon, South Korea, with a 22-song set list similar to their recent performances.

The tour, titled “Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things,” marked the debut of drummer Isaac Carpenter, who joined the band in March, replacing longtime drummer Frank Ferrer. Carpenter previously played with Duff McKagan’s band, Loaded, from 2009 to 2011 and appeared on their 2011 album, “The Taking.”

Set List Highlights:
Guns N’ Roses opened with “Welcome to the Jungle,” a first since 2012, according to setlist.fm, while their usual opener, “It’s So Easy,” was performed later. They played seven tracks from their debut album, “Appetite for Destruction,” including “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Nightrain,” and closing with “Paradise City.” Other notable performances included “November Rain,” “Coma,” and “Estranged” from “Use Your Illusion,” as well as “Better,” “Sorry,” and the title track from “Chinese Democracy.”

Of the four post-reunion songs released since 2021, only “Perhaps” was performed. The band played four covers: Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” Wings’ “Live and Let Die,” Glen Campbell’s “Wichita Lineman,” and Velvet Revolver’s “Slither.”

The tour will run through spring and early summer, ending on July 31 at Wacken Open Air. No North American dates have been announced.
