HILLIARD, Ohio — Coffee Connections, a popular coffee shop in Hilliard, is finding support from the community after closing its Main Street location.
The shop announced on social media that residents and local businesses are offering spaces for pop-ups while the owners decide on next steps. Coffee Connections was forced to close its location at 4004 Main St. due to structural issues with the building’s floor. Owners are now searching for a new space or considering repairs.
Starting Monday at 7 a.m., Coffee Connections will operate inside Center Street Market alongside Bakes by Lo. Corner Christian Fellowship has also offered space for pop-up events just down the road on Main Street. Owners say they hope to collaborate with Bears Bagels in the future.
“It’s a beautiful picture of what loving your neighbor actually looks like,” Coffee Connections wrote on social media. “Over the next few weeks we’ll be figuring things out together.”
Coffee Connections plans to serve Liberty Lemonade and iced coffee at the Hilliard Fourth of July Parade at Cornerstone, using their “coffee bike.”
On the shop’s final day, customers wrote memories, prayers, and messages on the walls. The owners described the experience as “speechless” after saying goodbye.
“Our mission was never tied to one address,” Coffee Connections posted.
