Mega Millions Ticket Worth $60 Million Sold in Ohio

VAN WERT, Ohio (AP) — Someone who purchased a Mega Millions ticket in Ohio has won a $60 million jackpot, according to the Ohio Lottery.

The winning ticket, sold at Tyler’s Short Stop inside a Sunoco gas station at 714 E. Main St. in Van Wert, was an auto-pick selection for the drawing held Tuesday, March 17. The winning numbers were 4, 11, 18, 38, 50, and the Mega Ball was 24.

The ticket holder has 180 days to claim the prize, until Sept. 13. If the prize is not claimed by the deadline, Ohio will receive its share of the unclaimed funds, which will be directed to the state’s education fund.

The winner may choose between a lump-sum cash option of $27.1 million or an annuity worth the full $60 million, paid over 30 years.

The last time a Mega Millions jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Ohio was April 18, 2025, at a Giant Eagle in South Euclid. That winning ticket was worth $112 million, shortly after officials announced changes to the game’s structure.

Since Ohio joined Mega Millions in May 2002, the state has had 22 jackpot winners and 65 second-tier winners of $1 million or more. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 290,472,336.
