COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A range of cultural, sporting and family-friendly events are scheduled this weekend in Columbus and the Central Ohio region, offering entertainment for residents and visitors from Friday through Sunday.
THEATRICAL AND ARTS PROGRAMS
A North American touring production of The Sound of Music continues through Sunday at the Ohio Theatre. The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic features beloved songs such as “Do-Re-Mi” and “Edelweiss,” and is open to audiences of all ages. Performances run Feb. 24–March 1, with multiple showtimes this weekend.
Art enthusiasts can also explore ongoing exhibitions at venues across the Short North Arts District, including salon exhibitions and gallery events that remain on display throughout February.
SPORTS AND FAMILY ATTRACTIONS
Sports fans can catch action on the ice and court this weekend. At Nationwide Arena, the Columbus Fury take on the Indy Ignite in a Friday night game, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, the Columbus Blue Jackets host the New York Islanders in an NHL matchup, also at Nationwide Arena.
