The property currently known as JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa and Rampart Casino will officially be renamed The Resort at Summerlin on January 1. This rebranding coincides with the completion of a $75 million renovation project that includes upgraded guest rooms, a new high-limit casino area, and new dining options.
General Manager Michelle McHugh stated that the resort is embracing its connection to the Summerlin community by adopting the new name, which harkens back to the property’s original name when it opened in 1999. The resort has been known variously as Rampart Casino or by its corporate partnership name over the years.
Despite the rebranding, the resort will retain its partnership with JW Marriott, and its loyalty program will continue as Rampart Rewards. The renovation updated all 549 rooms, enhanced the casino’s slot machine selection, refreshed interiors, improved lighting, and modernized meeting spaces.
A notable change will see Caesars Entertainment take over the operation of the resort’s race and sportsbook after the Super Bowl next year. The revamped sportsbook will feature a new video wall, a 360-degree LED display, and 20 self-service betting kiosks, offering betting options that mirror those on Caesars’ mobile app.
The Resort at Summerlin employs about 1,300 people. While the Cannery group previously operated the casino, the resort’s operators have managed it since 2012 when the lease ended.
