SAN FRANCISCO — Post Malone will headline Bud Light’s Super Bowl concert, “Bud Light Presents Post Malone & Buddies,” at Fort Mason in San Francisco ahead of the big game in February. The event is about an hour from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, where Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled to be played.
In 2024, Post Malone performed “America the Beautiful” during the Super Bowl pregame show in Las Vegas. Earlier this year, he also headlined the YouTube Tailgate Concert and Bud Light Backyard concert in New Orleans.
“We show up every year to provide football fans with bucket-list experiences,” Todd Allen, Bud Light’s senior vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “We’re excited to team up with Post Malone, our partner for nearly a decade, for what will be one of the most electrifying shows of Super Bowl weekend.”
Asked if he would like to perform during the Super Bowl halftime show, Post Malone told Billboard he “would love to.” Over Thanksgiving weekend, he performed at halftime during a Dallas Cowboys game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Although he joked that a Cowboys Super Bowl “is not in the cards as of this moment,” he added, “I’m sick of the Chiefs. Can we stop with the Chiefs Super Bowl stuff?” he said, laughing.
Despite his comments, Post Malone has multiple Kansas City Chiefs tattoos, which he said resulted from a lost bet. “Not by my choice. This was a gentleman’s bet,” he told Billboard. “And you know what happens? [Travis] Kelce cheated, and I’m going to say [Patrick] Mahomes cheated a little bit too. There was a tattoo artist right there, so I have both of their signatures on me — and a KC logo.” He also has a Dallas Cowboys tattoo.
Regarding new music, Post Malone hinted he may debut new songs during his Bud Light performance. “We’ve been working very diligently on new music. We have 45 songs. It’s just a matter of finishing them, and the schedule has been so busy. But there will be new music by then,” he said, adding, “Allegedly a hundred percent maybe, definitely. Keep your ears open.”
