Aerosmith Achieves Historic Billboard Chart Feat With ‘One More Time’ EP

Aerosmith has become the fifth act in history—and only the second group—to achieve a notable Billboard chart milestone with the release of their new EP, “One More Time.”

The five-song set, a collaboration with 28-year-old British rocker Yungblud, debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 this week. With the debut, Aerosmith joins Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and James Taylor as the only artists to have a newly-charting Top 10 album in each of the past six decades.

Aerosmith’s Billboard Top 10 Chart History

Aerosmith’s Top 10 streak on the Billboard 200 began in the 1970s with the release of “Rocks” in 1976, which peaked at No. 3. Two other albums from the era, “Toys in the Attic” and “Draw the Line,” each reached No. 11.

The band returned to the Top 10 in 1989 with “Pump,” which peaked at No. 5. Its predecessor, “Permanent Vacation,” also reached No. 11. In the 1990s, Aerosmith scored back-to-back No. 1 albums with “Get a Grip” in 1993 and “Nine Lives” in 1997.

The group continued their chart success in the 2000s. “Just Push Play” reached No. 2 in 2001, while “Honkin’ on Bobo” (2004) and “Music From Another Dimension!” (2012) both peaked at No. 5.

‘One More Time’ Marks Return After Hiatus

“One More Time” is Aerosmith’s first release since “Music From Another Dimension!” and follows the band’s canceled Peace Out farewell tour in 2023, which was called off due to Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. Tyler has made brief public appearances since, including a performance at Ozzy Osbourne’s Back to the Beginning concert, where Yungblud also performed.

Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry and Yungblud later appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards to perform Osbourne’s “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”

The “One More Time” EP features four new songs co-written by Aerosmith and Yungblud, plus a “2025 remix” of the classic “Rocks” track “Back in the Saddle.” The lead single, “My Only Angel,” was released ahead of the EP and includes an acoustic remix featuring Steve Martin on banjo.
