States Who Spend The Most & Least On A College Education Via WalletHub

With the cost of attending a four-year college having risen by around 30% over the past 20 years, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on the States Where College Education Costs the Most & Least to put a spotlight on the places where Americans are having the most trouble affording college.

To determine where higher education is the most and least expensive, WalletHub analyzed the price of in-state undergraduate tuition, room and board, and other college costs in 49 states, then compared the total to the median household income. Alaska was removed from the sample due to data limitations.
