Kevin Jonas Announces Debut Solo Single “Changing” After 20 Years with Jonas Brothers

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Kevin Jonas is set to release his first solo single, nearly 20 years after the Jonas Brothers launched their career.

The 37-year-old musician announced Sunday night that his debut solo track, “Changing,” will be released Nov. 20. Jonas made the announcement during the Jonas Brothers’ Samsung TV Plus livestream from Orlando, part of their ongoing “JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown” tour. Special guests on the tour included Khalid, Sebastian Yatra and “Moana” star Auli’i Cravalho.

According to a release, “Changing,” which Jonas has previewed during the tour, was produced by Mark Schick and Jason Evigan. During an August show at Fenway Park, Jonas told the crowd, “I’m super nervous, so bear with me,” before performing the song, which features a falsetto chorus reminiscent of the Bee Gees.

On Sunday night, Jonas shared a video from the single’s cover shoot, expressing excitement about stepping out on his own. Fan footage showed Jonas’ wife, Danielle, in the audience, visibly emotional as she watched him perform his solo track and later sharing the moment with their daughters.

The Jonas Brothers formed in 2005, but by 2011, members began pursuing solo projects. Joe Jonas released his debut solo album, “Fastlife,” while Nick Jonas launched Nick Jonas & the Administration. The group split in 2013, citing “creative differences,” but reunited in 2019 with their Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single “Sucker.” They have since released three albums: “Happiness Begins” (2019), “The Album” (2023) and “Greetings From Your Hometown” (2024).

Nick Jonas has released four solo albums and appeared in several films, while Joe Jonas has released solo work and music with DNCE, including the 2015 hit “Cake By the Ocean.”

The Jonas Brothers’ 20th anniversary tour continues at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Tuesday.
