GROVE CITY, Ohio — A new restaurant specializing in Southern comfort food is set to open in Grove City.
Broadway Standard, located at 3911 Broadway, is owned by Standard Restaurant Group and led by Grove City natives, including a former Nashville restaurant manager. The restaurant will offer classic Southern dishes and aims to bring “Southern charm” to the area. An official opening date has not been announced, but owners said they are hoping to open by late November.
Standard Restaurant Group’s chief operating officer has more than a decade of food service experience in Oklahoma and Nashville. The group expressed enthusiasm about returning to their hometown.
“Our mission is that people are better off for being here,” the group stated. Broadway Standard aims to reflect this mission by including complimentary items with each meal. The menu features meals with complimentary fritters and two sides, and each meal comes with a free dessert that changes seasonally.
“Here at Broadway Standard, we feel that no meal is complete without dessert, so please choose one on us,” the menu reads.
Breakfast options include chicken and waffles, a biscuit flight, flapjacks and Tennessee hoe cakes. Lunch offerings feature fried catfish, fried green tomatoes, sandwiches and country fried steak.
Site plans indicate that Broadway Standard will seat up to 70 people indoors and 40 on the patio. The restaurant will occupy the former Pontones Music location.
Initially, Broadway Standard will serve breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, with plans to eventually extend hours to 9 p.m. to include dinner and drinks.
