Taylor Swift Balances Friendship and Romance with Chiefs Appearance and Selena’s Wedding

Taylor Swift may be one of the busiest people in entertainment, but she continues to make time for those close to her.

According to People and E! News, Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Sept. 28, to support tight end Travis Kelce. Her appearance followed a reported trip to another time zone to attend singer Selena Gomez’s wedding to producer Benny Blanco. While Swift kept a low profile at Arrowhead Stadium, fans on social media reported seeing her father, Scott, and brother, Austin, at the game as well.

The day before, Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner, was reportedly among several celebrities present at Gomez and Blanco’s wedding, which took place Saturday, Sept. 27, in a private ceremony in California, according to a post by Gomez on Instagram.

Swift and Gomez have been close friends for years, and Swift’s attendance at the wedding came as little surprise to fans. When Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco in December, Swift commented online, joking, “yes I will be the flower girl.”

There may be more celebrations ahead for the longtime friends. In August, Swift announced her engagement to Kelce, sharing photos on Instagram and writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Gomez responded at the time, “When bestie gets engaged.”

Sunday’s Chiefs game, which ended with Kansas City defeating the Ravens 37-20, was the second this season that Swift attended without drawing significant attention from fans or cameras. She was also present at the Sept. 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Swift is currently preparing to release her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” scheduled for release on Oct. 3.
