Las Vegas Coffee Shop Tops Yelps Top 100 List Once Again

Yaw Farm Coffee Roasters in Las Vegas has once again claimed the top spot on Yelp’s “Top 100 Coffee Shops” list, cementing its reputation as a standout in the U.S. coffee scene. Located at 7034 W. Charleston Blvd., Yaw Farm is celebrated for its exceptional quality, earning 96 percent five-star ratings from reviewers.

The shop’s unique name, “Yaw,” refers to a navigational term describing a twist on a vertical axis—a nod to the motion of preparing a pour-over. Owners Jillian and Ian (“Roaster Ian”) have crafted a distinctive menu featuring specialty drinks like the “Yawtte,” a latte available hot or iced, made with house-made syrups and exclusively oat milk, which Ian believes best complements their coffee. Notably, Yaw Farm is takeout-only, with no seating available.

Las Vegas boasts more entries on Yelp’s list:

  • Convo Coffee House (46th place, 3350 Novat St.) is a family-run spot known for scratch-baked cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes, with daily specials highlighted on Instagram.
  • Dig It Coffee (68th place, 1300 S. Casino Center Blvd.) opened in 2022 with a mission to provide meaningful employment to people with disabilities, while also serving highly rated coffee.

Yelp’s list also reflects broader trends in the coffee world. Gen Z has driven a surge in matcha popularity, with Yelp searches up 180 percent year over year. Social media has catapulted drinks like banana lattes and Einspanners (a Viennese espresso topped with sweet or whipped cream) into the spotlight, benefiting shops that offer these trendy beverages.

In Las Vegas, both the banana latte and the Einspanner can be found at Chinatown favorites Gäbi Coffee and Bakery (4.3 stars on Yelp) and Airoma Roasters (4.5 stars), showcasing the city’s vibrant and evolving coffee culture.
