Iron Maiden has announced the first dates of its 2026 Run for Your Lives 50th anniversary tour, adding a new series of European summer concerts.
The newly announced leg begins May 23 in Athens, Greece, and continues through July 11 in the United Kingdom, where the band will headline a special show. Details of the UK event will be announced in the coming days.
Additional dates for other regions are expected to be announced later. Tickets for the summer 2026 shows go on sale Sept. 22.
Iron Maiden will film its Paris show, scheduled for June 22 at Paris La Défense Arena, for a live concert film.
“The band will also return to Paris so that our Run for Your Lives show can be filmed for our fans and for posterity,” the band said in a statement. “We chose an indoor stadium to best showcase the production and the audience, which has always been incredible in Paris. We appreciated fans limiting phone use on the recent tour, which created a powerful atmosphere. For 2026, we ask audiences to continue this approach to ensure everyone can experience the concert fully in the moment.”
The Run for Your Lives tour features songs exclusively from Iron Maiden’s first nine albums, from 1980’s “Iron Maiden” through 1992’s “Fear of the Dark.” The 2025 tour kickoff included rare performances of songs such as “Murders in the Rue Morgue,” played live for the first time since 2005; “Killers,” last performed in 1999; and “Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” last played in 2009.
This tour also marks the first with drummer Simon Dawson, who replaced longtime member Nicko McBrain following McBrain’s retirement from touring in late 2024. Dawson has played with Maiden bassist Steve Harris in British Lion for more than a decade.
