HILLSBORO, Ohio (Audilous) —The Highland County Sheriff’s Office has announced a countywide curfew for the month of October, according to a press release from Judge Kevin Greer of the county’s juvenile division.
The curfew applies to individuals under 18 years old from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Under the order, anyone under 18 must be home and off the streets by 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and by midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Exemptions to the curfew include minors who are accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or custodian, or those attending school, church or work-related activities.
Judge Greer did not provide a specific reason for the curfew. He also recommended that each city and village in the county schedule Trick-or-Treat on Oct. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m.
