Drake Celebrates 2Pacs Legacy with Iconic Death Row Chain and Ring Collection

Drake continues to make waves in the music world by showcasing his admiration for 2Pac, as demonstrated in a recent Instagram post highlighting a significant artifact from rap history. On Sunday, August 24, the Toronto artist shared an image of what seems to be 2Pac’s 1996 Death Row Records chain.

The chain is adorned with the distinctive Death Row Records logo encrusted with diamonds. The pendant’s reverse side bears an inscription reading, “All Eyez on YOU 1996.” Drake complemented the post with the cover art of “All Eyez On Me,” featuring 2Pac wearing the same chain during his career’s peak.

The post elicited a range of reactions. Artists like Moneybagg Yo, Gashi, and Gillie Da Kid expressed their approval. Fans also shared their thoughts in the comments, with some surprised by the chain’s reappearance. One user remarked, “Bruh. The world has been wondering where Pac’s original Death Row Records chain has been since 1996. Mind blowing.” Another commented, “You can buy the shoes, but you’ll never be able to fill them.” A different fan highlighted Drake’s expanding collection of 2Pac memorabilia, stating, “You got the ring and the chain, sheesh.”

This isn’t the first instance of Drake acquiring a notable item linked to 2Pac. In 2023, he bought the rapper’s gold, ruby, and diamond crown ring at a Sotheby’s auction for $1.1 million. 2Pac wore the ring during his final public appearance at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards.

With the addition of both the crown ring and what appears to be the Death Row Records chain, Drake has curated a collection associated with one of hip hop’s most seminal figures. These items serve as a testament to 2Pac’s enduring influence and the way his legacy continues to resonate through music, culture, and now, historical artifacts.
