Brightline West has announced new locations within the rail corridor for field investigation work in Southern Nevada. This work includes land sampling, surveying, and utility potholing. The activities are taking place south of St. Rose Parkway on the Interstate 15 median and at the St. Rose northbound off-ramp, from Sunday to Friday. Work hours are typically from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with some operations occurring overnight to minimize traffic disruption, although short-term road closures will be necessary. This marks the beginning of work on the 218-mile rail route connecting Las Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga in Southern California.
