Last Call To Preorder Taylor Swift’s Limited Edition “The Life of a Showgirl” Vinyl

Taylor Swift is set to release her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and has unveiled two new vinyl variants on her website Monday, Aug. 18. The 14-time Grammy winner made the announcement after a mysterious countdown appeared on her site.

The new collection, “The Life of a Showgirl: The Shiny Bug Edition,” will be available for pre-order at 2 p.m. ET. The limited editions will be available while supplies last until 1:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Aug. 20. The vinyl records come in two colors, wintergreen onyx and violet shimmer, and feature exclusive cover art. They include a full-size gatefold photograph of Swift, a double-sided foldout panel with a poem by Swift, and a collection of exclusive photographs.

This announcement follows Swift’s reveal of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on Aug. 12, during a teaser clip for her interview on Jason and Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast. The full episode was released the following day, with Swift sharing details about the album, including its cover art, production team, and tracklist.

“The album is more upbeat and a lot more fun pop excitement,” Swift said on the podcast. “My main goals were melodies that were so infectious, you’re almost angry at it.”

Produced with Max Martin and Shellback, the album features 12 tracks, including a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the title track. Swift also introduced four alternate versions of the album last week, each offering different artwork, photo cards, and a jewelry box with a collectible charm bracelet.

Unlike her last album, “Tortured Poets Department,” which included 35 tracks and spent 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, “The Life of a Showgirl” will have no bonus tracks beyond the core 12. “There’s no other songs coming,” Swift emphasized on “New Heights.” “This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time.”
