INGLEWOOD, Calif. — During a concert at the Kia Forum on Tuesday, July 29, Lady Gaga took a moment to acknowledge her fiancé, Michael Polansky, with a heartfelt shout-out.
After performing her Billboard Hot 100-topping duet with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile,” solo at the piano, the pop star expressed her gratitude to Polansky as fans cheered. “To Michael, Michael Polansky, the love of my life,” she said, her voice quivering. “It’s so much more fun doing this with you, my babe.” She then addressed the audience, “Thank you for how you’ve blessed our life. I hope one day I just vanish into each and every one of you.”
Gaga proceeded to perform “Vanish Into You” from her No. 1 Billboard 200 album, “Mayhem.” Polansky, who has a co-writing credit on the track, contributed to several other songs on the album. Gaga has often spoken about Polansky’s influence on “Mayhem,” crediting him with encouraging her return to dance-pop music.
“Like anyone would do for the person they love, I encouraged her to lean into the joy of it,” Polansky told Vogue last September. “On the Chromatica tour, I saw a fire in her; I wanted to help her keep that alive all the time and just start making music that made her happy.”
Gaga and Polansky, who met in 2019, became engaged in April 2024. Gaga has frequently discussed their close relationship, calling him her “best friend” and expressing her desire to have children with him.
Currently, Gaga is focused on her “Mayhem Ball Tour,” which began in early July with three performances in Las Vegas. Following four shows at the Kia Forum, the tour will continue to New York City, Toronto, Chicago, and other North American cities before heading to Europe.
