Hot 10 Recap – Week of 7/12/25

Alex Warren has officially topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five weeks, as “Ordinary” stays to No. 1, in our survey for the week of 7/12. The piano-driven pop ballad, praised for its raw vocals and stripped-back production, has steadily gained momentum through TikTok virality and high-profile playlist placements, culminating in a breakthrough week of streaming and sales.

Holding steady at No. 2 is “What I Want” by Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae, a pop-country duet that has dominated radio airplay since its debut. The collaboration blends Wallen’s gravelly twang with McRae’s emotional delivery, striking a chord with fans of both genres.

Wallen also claims the No. 3 spot with “Just In Case,” a solo cut rooted in heartbreak and nostalgia. Its performance gives the country star three songs in the top five, continuing a dominant chart run that’s included multiple cross-genre hits in recent months.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” lands at No. 4. The track — a twangy reimagining of J-Kwon’s 2004 hip-hop hit “Tipsy” — continues to thrive as a viral favorite, fusing country themes with hip-hop-inspired rhythms and a barroom singalong chorus.

At No. 5 is Morgan Wallen once again, this time with “I’m The Problem,” a confessional ballad that adds further dimension to his presence on the chart. With three songs in the top five, Wallen’s unprecedented streak reinforces his role as a chart juggernaut in 2025.

Kendrick Lamar and SZA debut at No. 6 with “Luther,” a brooding, jazz-tinged track that pays tribute to Luther Vandross while examining themes of legacy and vulnerability. Their reunion marks the first time the two Top Dawg Entertainment artists have collaborated since 2018’s “All the Stars.”

Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” sits at No. 7. The synth-pop track, widely interpreted as a biting commentary on modern relationships and immaturity, continues her hot streak following earlier summer hits and a successful festival run.

Teddy Swims holds at No. 8 with “Lose Control,” the soul-inflected anthem that has become a mainstay on adult contemporary and pop radio. The song’s longevity is driven by Swims’ powerful vocal performance and universal themes of emotional vulnerability.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars remain in the top 10 with “Die With a Smile,” at No. 9. The retro-soul duet has been lauded for its throwback production and the chemistry between the two pop powerhouses.

Chappell Roan rounds out the top 10 with “Pink Pony Club.” The queer pop anthem — initially released in 2020 — has seen a chart resurgence thanks to renewed interest from LGBTQ+ communities and viral dance content. Roan’s theatrical live shows and advocacy have helped reintroduce the track to a broader audience.
