Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo Dominate 2025 Nathans Hot Dog Eating Contest

The 2025 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest saw the return of Joey Chestnut, who reclaimed his title with a formidable performance by consuming 71 hot dogs, 25 more than his nearest competitor. Although it wasn’t a record-breaking feat, Chestnut’s victory marked his 17th win in the competition’s history and his ninth win in the past decade. His absence in 2024 due to sponsorship conflicts allowed Patrick Bertoletti to claim the title that year. However, Chestnut’s comeback was nothing short of dominant as he outpaced Bertoletti, who finished in second place with 46.5 hot dogs.

On the women’s side, Miki Sudo continued her reign by winning for the 11th time in 12 years, consuming 33 hot dogs. She comfortably defeated runner-up Michelle Lesco, who managed 22 3/4 hot dogs. Sudo’s only recent absence from the event was in 2024 due to her pregnancy. Both champions demonstrated their ongoing dominance in the world of competitive eating at the Coney Island event.
