Benny Glaser’s impressive run at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) continues, as the British poker professional secured his third victory at this year’s series. Winning the $2,500 buy-in Mixed Triple Draw Lowball event at Horseshoe Las Vegas, Glaser has joined an elite group of players who have won three tournaments in a single WSOP. This accomplishment places him alongside renowned names such as Scott Seiver, Jeff Lisandro, Phil Ivey, Ted Forrest, Phil Hellmuth, and Puggy Pearson.
Glaser expressed his disbelief at the achievement, noting the challenge of winning in events with larger fields and lower buy-ins, compared to the typically more winnable $10K events. With this latest win, Glaser earned his eighth career WSOP bracelet, further cementing his reputation as one of the greatest mixed-game players. This victory also extended his record for the most bracelets won by a European player.
In addition to his latest triumph, Glaser had previously won the $1,500 Dealers Choice and the $1,500 Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha High-Low 8 or Better tournaments. His success has pushed his career live tournament earnings to over $9.3 million. As Glaser continues his remarkable streak, there is speculation about whether he might eventually challenge Phil Hellmuth’s record of 17 bracelets.
In other WSOP news, Scott Bohlman narrowly missed winning his second bracelet of the series, finishing as the runner-up in the $3,000 Limit Hold’em event. Moshe Gavrieli claimed his first bracelet with a victory in that event. Meanwhile, Spanish pro Adrian Mateos secured his fifth career bracelet by winning the $3,200 No-limit Hold’em High Roller online event. At 30, Mateos joins an exclusive group of players who have achieved five bracelets by that age, highlighting his continued excellence in the poker world.
