PARIS — Miley Cyrus made a surprise appearance at Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter concert at Stade de France on Thursday, June 19, without any prior announcement.
Cyrus, known for her hit “Flowers,” shared a video on her social media showing the two artists performing the live debut of their Billboard Hot 100 No. 6 hit, “II Most Wanted,” from Cowboy Carter. The duo traded lyrics while dressed in complementary gold outfits. Beyoncé began with the first verse, singing, “Didn’t know what I wanted ’til I saw your face/ Say goodbye to the old me,” before Cyrus joined in the chorus, blending their voices seamlessly.
Following the performance, Cyrus expressed her excitement in an Instagram post on Friday, June 20. “To be beside such a humble, gracious, legendary DIVA was a dream come true,” Cyrus wrote, thanking Beyoncé for the opportunity to perform together in Paris. The post included a performance clip and photos of the two artists on stage. Cyrus added, “To have learned from you & loved you my whole life, & then be standing together in matching gold looks is more than I could’ve imagined.”
Cyrus also shared a video from backstage, showcasing her gold bodysuit. “Little ol’ me showing up in Paris in Alexander McQueen for Queen Bey. What?” she remarked playfully.
The three-time Grammy winner was already in Paris for a Spotify Billions Club Live performance on Wednesday. During the set, which will be turned into a concert film, Cyrus performed some of her biggest hits and surprised fans with a mash-up of “The Climb” and “We Can’t Stop.”
