Derek Stevens, co-owner of the D, Golden Gate, and Circa, is preserving a piece of Las Vegas history by rescuing the famous “No Ifs, Ands, Or Butts” statue from the “Crazy Girls” show. This iconic bronze sculpture, created by artist Michael Conine in 1997 for the show’s 10th anniversary, is set to be displayed at one of Stevens’ resorts. The statue was a prominent feature at the Riviera Hotel until 2015 and was last seen publicly in June 2021 when it was moved to a storage unit.
Stevens, along with Circa Hospitality Group’s Vice President of Operations Jeff Victor, is collaborating with the show’s producer Norbert Aleman and former cast member Dani Elizabeth. They are considering a parade or event to mark the statue’s return, with tentative plans for June 25. This move is not an indication of the show returning but rather an effort to honor Las Vegas’ vibrant entertainment history.
Derek Stevens is known for his appreciation of Las Vegas history, evident in his other ventures like the Blarney Stone at the D and Vegas Vickie at Circa. The relocation of the statue underscores his commitment to preserving the city’s cultural legacy.
