Benny Glaser Wins Second WSOP Title in Four Days, Secures Seventh Career Bracelet

Benny Glaser has achieved another remarkable milestone by winning his second World Series of Poker (WSOP) title in just four days. The British poker professional claimed victory in the $1,500 buy-in Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha High-Low 8 or Better event at Horseshoe Las Vegas. In a field of 1,239 entries, Glaser emerged victorious over Travis Pearson in heads-up play, taking home the $258,193 first prize.

This win marks Glaser’s seventh career WSOP bracelet, solidifying his status as one of the top players in the world. He previously won the $1,500 buy-in Dealers Choice tournament earlier in the week and is currently leading the race for WSOP Player of the Year.

Glaser expressed his excitement, stating that the win felt surreal and acknowledging the challenging competition from Pearson. Despite facing tough situations during heads-up play, Glaser managed to regain his focus and ultimately overcame his opponent.

With this victory, Glaser becomes the 12th player in history to secure seven or more WSOP bracelets, extending his record for European players. Notably, all of his victories have been in non-Hold’em events, underscoring his expertise in mixed games.

The final day of the event saw action resume with three players remaining, and David Shmuel was eliminated in third place by Pearson. Despite Pearson holding a significant chip advantage in heads-up play, Glaser managed to remain resilient, eventually gaining control and defeating Pearson, who earned $172,077 for second place.

Reflecting on his success, Glaser mentioned that his plans for the summer would now focus on securing the Player of the Year title. He intends to adjust his schedule to optimize his performance throughout the remaining series events.
