The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) board recently reviewed a proposed fiscal year 2026 budget of $460 million. This budget anticipates a 5% decline in room tax revenue and allocates $168 million for marketing and advertising, primarily targeting domestic travelers. Despite expecting $346 million from room tax and gaming fees, the LVCVA does not plan to use its contingency funds.
A public hearing and final vote on the budget are scheduled for May 20. The budget includes a $32 million special events allocation, with $6.5 million earmarked for the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix, $4 million for Las Vegas Ballpark naming rights, and $3 million each for the National Finals Rodeo and the 2027 College Football Championship game.
