50 Cent recently addressed the situation involving former G-Unit rapper Bang Em Smurf, who is seeking asylum in the United Kingdom due to alleged gang threats in Trinidad. As a prominent business figure, 50 Cent maintains a clean image to facilitate his various ventures, yet his past connections to G-Unit occasionally bring complications.
On May 11, 50 Cent responded to reports linking his name to Bang Em Smurf’s asylum case. According to The Sun, Smurf claims to face significant gang threats in Trinidad and prefers to seek refuge in the U.K. His asylum application is under review, and he is reportedly staying in a government-funded hotel, sparking controversy due to the U.K.’s strict immigration policies.
50 Cent distanced himself from the situation via Instagram, sharing a screenshot of The Sun’s article. He stated he has not been in contact with Smurf for over two decades and emphasized his lack of association with gangs, expressing frustration over his name being mentioned in the matter.
Previously part of G-Unit, 50 Cent and Bang Em Smurf parted ways due to label disputes and personal conflicts. Smurf was deported to Trinidad after serving time for involvement in a shootout. He is now attempting to rehabilitate his image, appearing with U.K. figures at the Houses of Parliament and participating in English podcasts.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent is engaged in other disputes, including a boxing challenge from Benzino and ongoing issues related to Big Meech. Despite various feuds, 50 Cent is clear about having no connection to Bang Em Smurf’s current situation.
