Tucker Wetmores Rise: From Personal Struggles to Musical Success

Tucker Wetmore has quickly emerged as a notable artist in the music scene, captivating audiences with songs like “Wine into Whiskey” and “Wind Up Missin’ You.” His new album’s title track, “What Not To,” delves into autobiographical themes he initially hesitated to share. The song reflects on Wetmore’s childhood, growing up with a father struggling with addiction, and his own resolve to choose a different path. The album, released by UMG’s EMI Records Nashville in collaboration with Back Blocks Music, allows Wetmore to open up about personal experiences, aiming to resonate with listeners who may have faced similar challenges.

The album is a blend of various musical influences, including country, gospel, rock, and reggae, which Wetmore was exposed to during his upbringing in Kamala, Washington. Despite his initial focus on sports, a college football injury redirected his drive toward music and songwriting. “What Not To” features a collection of 19 tracks, each reflecting Wetmore’s insights and lessons from life and love. The album includes collaborations with notable songwriters and captures themes of decision-making and personal growth, encapsulated in tracks like “3, 2, 1” and “Takes One to Break One.”

Wetmore’s journey is also marked by significant live performances and opportunities, such as headlining at the Ryman Auditorium and joining Thomas Rhett on tour. His commitment to authenticity and storytelling in his music continues to deepen his connection with fans, as he explores his identity and experiences through his craft.
